Elyse Watkins is an associate practicing in this law firm’s Long Term Care Group. Ms. Watkins graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2016. As a student, she was Notes Editor of the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Law and Treasurer of OUTLaw. She received a CALI award for the highest grade in Healthcare Organizations and Finance. Her note, “Inhospitable Hosts: Fundamental Flaws in Recruitment Practices of H-2A Guest Workers and Recommendations for Change,” was published in the eighth volume of the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Law.
Prior to law school, Ms. Watkins earned her undergraduate degree in 2009 from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, where she majored in International Relations with a focus on Political Science. While attending college, she had the opportunity to study Economic Development and Globalization in Santiago, Chile. Before joining GSB, Ms. Watkins practiced at a local civil defense firm where her practice included medical malpractice and healthcare litigation.
