On October 31, 2014, the Kentucky Court of Appeals issued an Opinion in favor of GSB’s client. Attorney Rob Hickey handled the successful appeal of a personal injury trial in which the opposing party argued that he was entitled to recover all of his claimed medical expenses from GSB’s client. The Court of Appeals held that the claim had been effectively rebutted at trial and that the jury acted within its discretion in awarding about one-fifth of the amount claimed.
