Tracey Clemmons Smith is devoted to her practice of law in the area of Civil Litigation. Mrs. Smith primarily focuses on defending trucking and commercial transportation claims, insurance bad faith claims, personal injury, product liability litigation, and contractual and commercial disputes. She handles cases for large insurance companies, trucking companies, lenders and mortgage loan brokers, and other corporate entities.

Mrs. Smith has both trial and appellate experience. Recently, she obtained a defense verdict in a multi-million dollar wrongful death transportation case. Mrs. Smith has also been successful in her appellate practice.

Mrs. Smith attended Samford University, Cumberland School of Law and earned her J.D. Summa Cum Laude in 2000. She received the highest scholastic honor in the following courses while attending Cumberland: Torts, Commercial Transactions and Contracts. Mrs. Smith was also recognized for her legal research and writing skills. She served as managing editor of the Cumberland Law Review. Mrs. Smith was elected an officer of the Student Bar Association and American Bar Association-Law Student Division. Upon graduation, Mrs. Smith was inducted as a member of Curia Honoris, Cumberland’s Honor Society.

Mrs. Smith practiced law in Birmingham, AL, prior to moving to Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Smith and her family have resided in Louisville, Kentucky since 2002. She enjoys practicing law throughout the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky.
