Rebecca R. Schafer is an Associate at Gwin Steinmetz & Baird. Ms. Schafer is admitted to practice in Kentucky. She is a member of the Kentucky State Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association.

Ms. Schafer received her B.A. cum laude from the College of St. Benedict with all college honors and distinction in computer science, after which she joined Thomson West, where she received numerous Awards in Excellence for her work as a software engineer. She then attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where she earned her J.D. In law school, Ms. Schafer was a member of the Intellectual Property Moot Court and served as a student attorney in the Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi Civil Practice Clinic. Ms. Schafer also interned for the Honorable Janet N. Poston, Hennepin County District Court Judge of Minnesota.

As part of her education, Ms. Schafer attended the University of Louisville School of Law as a visiting student, and traveled abroad to both New Zealand and Australia, where she studied international law at the renowned Monash University.
